About 30 members of Friends of Salem Saturday Market toured Fairview Farm Dairy in Dallas this morning. Terry and Laurie Carlson have the cutest 6-acre farm with red barns for baby and mama goats, a gray barn for milking goats and another sterile barn for making cheese.
The Carlsons, along with their grandson Brian, spoiled us. We got a chance to hold baby goats, feed baby goats from bottles, milk Sapphire (a VERY patient goat) and feed goats peanuts. They also indulged several little boys who wanted to sit on the tractors!
At the end of our tour, the Carlsons provided samples of their Sweet Dreams cheese and the most delicious goat-milk ice cream.

Thank you so much for organizing the tour and thank you to Farmview! We had a great time!
