Stop by the FSSM booth this Saturday, June 4, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for our next children’s activity, Recycled Creations.
Teacher Diane Huber will help children turn items they would normally recycle into cool inventions like tin can pencil holders and bottle-cap magnets.
If you have recyclable items at home that you could donate to this event, we would appreciate it. Diane is looking for old magazines with kid-appropriate themes, old gift wrap or decorative paper, plastic bottle caps and lids, and tin cans with no sharp edges and the paper removed. All items must be well-cleaned.
You can either drop off these materials at our booth on Saturday, or email info@friendsofsalemsaturdaymarket.org to make other arrangements.

As a reminder, we’ll also be selling tickets at our booth for the Capital City Coop & Garden Tour, happening on Sunday, June 19. The tour gives you a chance to check out some great chicken coops and edible gardens around Salem.
