If you’re interested in knitting, crocheting, spinning and other needlework — or you just want to learn more about them — stop by our booth this Saturday, June 11, for Worldwide Knit in Public Day.
Bring your own chair and your latest project to our booth anytime between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to join the group. Volunteers will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and teach basic stitches.
Anyone is welcome to stop by to enter a drawing for prizes donated by local yarn shop Tangled Purls, Three Fates Yarn, and Spud and Chloe.
Worldwide Knit in Public Day was started in 2005 by Danielle Landes. Each local event around the world is organized by volunteers. The day has grown from 25 local events in 2005 to 751 gatherings in 2009. Events have taken place in Australia, China, England, Finland, France, Ireland, Norway, South Africa, Sweden and the U.S.
