Our free programs and events can only be successful with your help. Want to be involved with your market and your community? Volunteer with Friends of Salem Saturday Market! Training is provided for all positions, whether you’re available for a couple of hours on one Saturday, or a regular gig.

FSSM booth attendant
Help staff our booth on Saturdays, sign up members, sell books and talk with people about our various programs. info@friendsofsalemsaturdaymarket.org
Zero Waste Zone
Spend a fun few hours educating market shoppers about recycling and composting by volunteering at one of our Zero Waste Stations. Gloves and aprons are provided. We also offer group sponsorship opportunities, where you can bring your group — scouts, school, social club, family, business — to sponsor a day of Zero Waste at the market. Your members sign up for two-hour shifts throughout the day, and signs would announce your group’s involvement. zerowaste@friendsofsalemsaturdaymarket.org
Bicycle Valet
Keep an eye on bikes while riders spend time in the Market. A great service to improve alternative transportation in Salem. info@friendsofsalemsaturdaymarket.org
Salem Harvest
This exciting project allows community volunteers to pick fruits and vegetables, donating half of each harvest to local food banks. We need your help as pickers, site scouts, harvest leaders and more. www.salemharvest.org
